Cornelis Hulsman and Michael Meunier first met on July 1, 1999. Meunier followed a very aggressive tone of questioning but in the end they agreed to exchange information. It was Hulsman´s aim to engage in dialogue. He sent lots of background reports the RNSAW had produced on July 7. Meunier responded with libel on July 8. Meunier was more than once told this was libel. He first distributed the claims to many different people but later removed the text from the Digest archive (in June 2003 it was no longer in their archive), never apologized but continued with aggressive responses
