Islam has gone through prosperous periods during which Islamic scholars practiced Ijtihad. But then six centuries ago, Islam entered the era of “imitation” when Islam became imprisoned in a mold manipulated by political interests and personal interests.
This led to the formation of a barrier between religion as revealed by God to the prophet Muhammad and the confused Muslims. This prevented Muslims from benefiting and non-Muslims from getting to know Islam.
