There are two mysteries in the history of Sayyed Qutb that can hardly be explained. I am mentioning these two mysteries without offering explanations:


The first mystery is the scholarship Qutb got in America. The selection of Sayyed Qutb for this scholarship is the subject of many questions. Qutb obtained this scholarship after his age exceeded the acceptable range. This scholarship was of a unique type. It did not involve a specified study and it was not in a specific university. During the three years Qutb spent in the US, he was free to do whatever he liked in the US.
