The leaders of the Tagammu, Wafd and Nasserite Parties are about to complete the formulation of a joint document on “political, democratic and constitutional reform.” The Muslim Brotherhood sees in the Nasserite, Tagammu and Wafd parties a legitimate cover and a channel through which Brotherhood members could fill seats in the People’s Assembly as in 1984 when the Brotherhood succeeded in securing 10 seats in the People’s Assembly for the first time in history.
