The Coptic issue is one of the most important in the Egyptian question’s political file. Copts’ political, religious and cultural demands have been a pressing issue of tension. The inter-Coptic discourse, some of which can be spotted in the writings of some Coptic Orthodox, Protestant and Catholic intellectuals, calls for an end to the injustice befalling the Copts throughout the July 1952 regime pertaining to abrogation of restrictions mentioned in the Hamayouni Law and the relevant Al-Ezaby Pasha’s 10 notorious conditions on the construction of Christian churches.
