Egyptian police have managed to identify the bombers who

carried out the April 24 blasts of the tourist

resort of Dahab, as three North Sinai Bedouin, Mu’min Fārouq

‘Alī Mahmoud. Two days after the triple blasts,

two suicide bombers attacked security personnel

and multinational peacekeeping forces in the Northern Sinai

area of al-Joura, causing no injuries to their targets.

Investigations have blamed a terrorist cell called

al-Tawhīd wal Jihād [One God and

jihād] for the Dahab and Northern Sinai bombings,

revealing that members of the cell were influenced

by the leader of al-Qā‘ida,

Usāma Bin Lādin, his deputy Ayman al-

Zawāhirī and the leader of al-Qā‘ida

in Iraq, Abu Mus‘ab al-

Zarqāwī.
