Many Egyptians living abroad were happy with Minister of Manpower ‘Ā‘ishah ‘Abd al-Hādī’s announcement of the government’s intentions to allow them to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections. However, the immigration adviser to the Minister of Manpower, Hānī ‘Azīz, said that people with dual citizenship will not be allowed to vote.
