Salafists threatened to “use force and offer sacrifices” for the sake of enforcing the Islamic sharī ʿah as a leading member of the Salafī Jihādī group said in his blog, addressing the “kāfir (infidel) Egyptian government,” that “You worship the constitution while we worship God Almighty…You will believe only in God and observe His sharī ʿah or you will be forced to do that humiliatingly under the shadows of the swords”
