‘Atfīh is a center for 14 villages located near Helwan, South of Cairo, which is reportedly a stronghold for the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters.  The MB uses mosque sermons to mobilize its supporters against Copts. Copts have been forcefully evicted from their houses, which were then looted, according to the report.  This situation has worsened after the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood. As a result, many Christian families left the center and travelled away.
