Copts celebrated on March 19 the Feast of the Cross, which is the first of the Coptic feasts during the big fast in preparation for Easter.  Pope Tawadros II will lead the mass in the St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abāssiyah. Churches in Egypt, and the cathedral will undergo intense security procedures. Police cars are present at the entrances to the Cathedral. No other cars are allowed to stop at the cathedral.
