The Ministry of Health: 4200 affected by AIDS

Husām ʿAbd al-Ghaffār, official spokesman for the Ministry of Health said that the number of individuals affected by AIDS since 1986 is 10000 according to official statistics. And although he stated that HIV+ patients constitute less than 0.01 percent of the total Egyptian population, as of last year 4235 people are registered as patients in Egypt.
