Dr. Sāmī Fawzī, Archbishop of the Anglican/Episcopal Church of Alexandria, expressed that the church he serves has a close relationship with the Coptic Church. The archbishop welcomed a statement that was signed a few days ago in the United Kingdom between the two churches, entitled “The Inheritance of the Ecumenical Councils in the Church.” It was signed by Bishop Angaelos, a representative of the Oriental Orthodox Churches, and by Anglican Bishop Gregory Cameron, as co-chairs of the dialogue.
