The Israeli siege of

the Church of Nativity shows that Arab Christians stand alongside Muslims in the fight against Israel. The newly

founded Christian al-Mahd [al-Mahd = nativity, named after the Church of the Nativity] organization places martyrdom

operations on their priorities list. The recent conference in the Orthodox St. Mark Cathedral in Egypt shows that Arab

Christians have a positive stand toward the Palestinian issue. The Christian West is, however, silent toward what

happens in Israel despite the fact that they lounched the Crusades with the claim of protecting the holy places.
