Dr. Nasr Abu-Zayd was awarded the Freedom of Worship Prize by the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Organization. At first he was hesitant about accepting this prize, fearing that he may be accused of becoming an agent for the West. However the author encouraged him to accept it as it is an international acknowledgment which he should not miss for fear of accusations that will never stop whether he accepts it or not.
