For years I have been extremely cautious with reports published by Jihād Watch and AINA (a source often quoted by Jihād Watch). Their language tends to be inflammatory and stories that I was able to check in the past – see the many reports about this subject in AWR – proved to be exaggerated. Almost any conversion to Islam was called kidnap and when I then asked priests, for example father Marqus in the case of Ingī Edward, I heard a different story, one that one cannot possibly call a kidnap or forced disappearance (AWR, 2004, week 28, art. 38).
