The author considers the reactions to the incidents of sectarian sedition between Muslims and Christians in Bimhā, al-‘Ayyāṭ, in Giza governorate. He criticizes certain media outlets for not covering the story in its entirety, and the demands that were submitted following the incident which he considers to be degrading to Copts. He praises Shaykh ‘Alī Habrūsh al-Sūfī’s statements on the situation, and his desire to stress that Egypt is the motherland for both Copts and Muslims.
